Those of you that have spoken with us over the past few months would know that the office has been extremely busy. New staff members joined, we have had to search for new premises and we move this weekend so have had to pack up the office. On top of this we’ve also been managing the huge legislative changes that come into effect on 1 July 2017. These things all combined mean the office has been flat out.
A (up-till-now) victim of this busy time has been our annual fund raising drive for the Humpty Dumpty Foundation and the running of the Balmoral Burn which is on this weekend!
I ran into Paul Francis OAM, Chairman of the Humpty Dumpty Foundation this morning and apologised for our lack of involvement this year explaining that we had just been too busy and, as the gracious man that he is, said he understood completely.
I then got in my car and thought to myself – that’s just a rubbish excuse! Kids still get sick (we had a staff member with a son hospitalised for the entire weekend), we live a life of privilege and there is no excuse not to help out.
CSP staff have cleared the decks and will run on Sunday. So, this is a mad scramble to raise money in 5 days and we need your help.
We only fund raise once a year, as we realise that there are many great fundraising activities out there, requesting your support.
We have raised around $25,000 in the last 2 years so are aiming for $15,000 this year. Please donate if you can.
Thanks in advance from all the sick children who need our help.
